The origin:

The rice variety OM 18 is derived from the hybrid combination OM 8017/OM 5166 which was bred by the Department of Biotechnology, Rice Institute of the Mekong Delta.

How to know:

Kernels are beautiful, slim, long, with a light aroma.

Feature:

When cooked, the rice is soft, medium-glutinous, with a light aroma.
